Recently, China National Building Materials Group held the 2022 annual science and technology award review meeting. The two technical achievements of China Building Materials (Hefei) New Energy Co., Ltd., "Key Technology and Industrialization of Special Glass for New Photovoltaic Ultra-thin (Cover) Backplane" and "Technology and Industrialization of High Transmittance Photovoltaic Glass with Double Coating", respectively won the second prize in the technology progress category of the 2022 China Building Materials Group Science and Technology Award.

The achievement of "Key Technology and Industrialization of Special Glass for New Photovoltaic Ultra-thin (Cover) Backplane" was jointly completed by Hefei New Energy and China Building Materials Glass New Material Research Institute Group Co., Ltd. The results have innovated and developed the production process of special photovoltaic cover glass for thin-film battery modules and the production process of large-size crystalline silicon battery backplane glass, and built a large-size new photovoltaic ultra-thin (cover) backplane special glass production demonstration line, which has driven and accelerated the technological update of the photovoltaic glass industry and filled the technological gap in the field of special photovoltaic cover glass for thin-film battery modules in China.
The achievement of "Double Layer Coating High Transmittance Photovoltaic Glass Technology and Industrialization" uses quartz sand with high iron content as the main raw material. Through the research and development of new coating solution and double layer coating technology, the industry problem of low transmittance of high-iron photovoltaic glass is solved, and the application of double layer coating technology in photovoltaic glass is realized, so that the transmittance of photovoltaic glass can reach 94.2.
The two technical achievements won this time are not only the display of Hefei's new energy technology capability and technical strength, but also the wisdom crystallization of the enterprise's scientific and technological personnel's intensive cultivation for many years. It is not only a high recognition and affirmation of Hefei New Energy's new technology research and development achievements in photovoltaic glass industry and overcoming the problem of high transmittance of photovoltaic glass, but also a spur and encouragement.
